Council of Asian Science Editors
We find ourselves in one of the most innovative and disruptive periods of the academic world. While COVID-19 heralded the rapid digitization of everyday life, academia saw other initiatives like Plan S and transformative agreements gathering pace. Most academic societies haven’t changed in decades, including some very rich and advanced ones. However, with the advent of rapid digitization, the push for transformative agreements, and the ever-increasing need for author community engagement, the change has begun. Journals and societies need to take notice of these changes, step up, and take advantage of the latest technologies to benefit from the rapid digitization of submission management, author workflows, community engagement, and article impact maximization.
As the CASE executive board starts its new term, these priorities are at the top of our minds. We endeavor to bring the latest trends, technologies, and practices to all Asian journals with the goal of empowering journals and societies by imparting knowledge and providing community support.
As always, we will work and support each of you in your journeys as editors to enable you to be the best possible version of yourselves, contributing to our author communities.
We look forward to your continued participation in the CASE community and thank you for your support and commitment to the cause of rapid advancement of the Asian journal community.
